I am a Master Level Counseling Psychologist with an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology and a
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cambridge College. I also hold a Master of Science in
Crime and Justice Studies from Suffolk University. I am the author of the upcoming book on
Transcending Adversities.
I am a passionate Mental Health and Social Services provider and firmly believe that our mental,
physical, and social health are connected. Our well-being must involve commitment and
determination to embrace self-care, address our inner challenges, process our trauma, and
effectively cope by doing positive things to overcome external or environmental life stressors. I
believe in integrating physical and mental care or treatments with resolving social issues to
achieve optimal health. Also, based on my professional and personal experiences, I vigorously
defend that good mental health and high self-esteem are interconnected and cannot be separated.
I serve those individuals who are willing to improve their circumstances and want help for their
emotional and social support and master successful life skills and healthy coping strategies to
enhance their self-esteem, communication skills, nonviolent conflict resolution skills, process
and heal from their negative thoughts or trauma, positively express and manage anger and rage,
improve their academic or work performance, resolve work-related issues, improve economic
issues, strengthen their relationships, identifying inner strengths and occupational goals, resolve
domestic violence issues and family functioning, enhance their sense of well-being to be able to
overcome adversities and thrive.
As a Clinician, I routinely utilize the supportive psychotherapy approach, psychodynamic
therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, Solution-focus therapy, Art-therapy including
journaling/narrative therapy, among the scientifically proven treatment modalities, depending on
my client's needs, strengths, and goals.
