My mental health professional career

started with being a therapeutic mentor, a paraprofessional, and later a clinician providing Children Behavioral Health Initiative services to families in poor neighborhoods of Boston. Now a supervisor, I've trained clinicians on cultural competency to see strengths in people despite their underprivileged circumstances.

ODNEY GELIN, MHC

My name is Odney Gelin, but I go by "Mimi". I am a Marriage & Family therapist who specialize in substance abuse. I became a therapist because of my own generational trauma I wanted to break away from, my approach with therapy has been holistic due to always wanting to do the inner child work. My goal has always been for my clients to be heard, seen and appreciated.

CLAUDEL CHEVRY, MSW

I am a student of life, a social worker, and a great believer in learning the tools needed to deal with the unwanted pressure of life. I have been in the Human Services industry for over sixteen years and have worked in various roles. My work history includes but is not limited to advocacy, clinical work, consultant, and Life coaching. In my work as a therapist, I have a unique  perspective in providing quality services that focus on building trust, respect, providing a nonjudgmental environment, and working with my patient to develop a treatment plan that addresses the underline cause of the diagnosis.

Ideally, my goal is to advocate and promote a world that grants full access to resources for all communities in need that focuses on fostering independence rather than creating dependency. Outside of work, I enjoy being around and making people laugh. I believe Laughter brings brighter days, even in the darkest moments in life. I enjoy photography, reading, and researching ways to improve lives in my free time. Some of my favorite activities include coaching and playing soccer, going to the gym, walking, and running. I also have a particular interest in life coaching teaching others how to find fulfillment in life.

Shahara Bobbitt

I lead with heart! I am a passionate Social Worker and Mental Health Clinician who is deeply committed to empowering individuals to discover their strengths, heal through connection, and reach their full potential. I take a holistic approach to care - one that honors the whole person, not just the symptoms. I approach my work with

empathy, cultural humility, and a trauma-informed and strength-based lens, always aiming to create a safe and affirming space for clients where they feel seen, heard, and empowered. Therefore, I’m always aiming to meet clients where they are and support them in building on

their inherent resilience. I’m well-versed in a variety of modalities, including CBT, mindfulness-based interventions, and solution-focused therapy, and I tailor my approach based on the unique needs and

goals of each client.

I truly believe in the resilience of every individual, and I’m passionate about helping them develop the tools they need to thrive. I believe in the power of relationships as a foundation for change and

growth, and I bring both clinical expertise and genuine compassion into every interaction. I’m committed to continuous learning and reflection to ensure I’m providing the most effective care possible. My goal is to create a therapeutic space where wellness is viewed as

multidimensional and where clients are supported in growing emotionally, socially, and personally. My passion lies in empowering individuals to not only manage symptoms but to thrive in their daily lives, and I find deep purpose in being part of that journey. Supporting

mental wellness isn’t just my profession - it’s part of my purpose.

determination to embrace self-care, address our inner challenges, process our trauma, and

effectively cope by doing positive things to overcome external or environmental life stressors. I

believe in integrating physical and mental care or treatments with resolving social issues to

achieve optimal health. Also, based on my professional and personal experiences, I vigorously

defend that good mental health and high self-esteem are interconnected and cannot be separated.

I serve those individuals who are willing to improve their circumstances and want help for their

emotional and social support and master successful life skills and healthy coping strategies to

enhance their self-esteem, communication skills, nonviolent conflict resolution skills, process

and heal from their negative thoughts or trauma, positively express and manage anger and rage,

improve their academic or work performance, resolve work-related issues, improve economic

issues, strengthen their relationships, identifying inner strengths and occupational goals, resolve
